The Vault, beside the Inbox

Dear mom,

Today we released faxit 1.0 and I am super excited. It is the first time it gets a number, which means I finally think it is good enough to show people.

It looks new. Lighter, calmer, one colour. Everything I used before is still there, the same keys in the same places. What is new is a Secretary. When the inbox gets heavy she goes through it with me, mail by mail, and asks before she does anything. I can also write in English and have it go out in Spanish, and I always see what leaves before it does.

If you try one thing, open Home and press Enter when she offers to go through it with you. Five minutes and the desk is clear.

Love,

Victor

P.S. Still no fax.

EARLIER LETTERS

0.3Bigger thingsLarge attachments · Follow-upsFRI 25 SEP 2026

Dear mom,

I can send the whole video now, up to 2 GB, as one clean link. No more "the file was too big".

And when someone does not answer me, faxit brings the mail back with a nudge already written. I just press send, or I don't.

Love,
Victor

0.2EverywherePhone, tablet, desktop · Outlook and Microsoft 365FRI 11 SEP 2026

Dear mom,

faxit now runs on my phone, the iPad and the computer. What I clear on one is gone on the others before I look up.

Outlook is in too, so the old work mail finally has a home.

Love,
Victor

0.1The first oneGmail · Several inboxes · Learns with you · Drafts in your voice · Subscriptions · Mute · Power commands · Security firstFRI 28 AUG 2026

Dear mom,

faxit is alive. It reads my Gmail, every inbox in one list, and it learns who matters to me.

It drafts in my voice, clears out subscriptions and mutes what I never open. Power commands tidy a hundred mails at once, after showing me the list.

Safety came first: nothing is deleted and everything is encrypted.

Love,
Victor

Finally, send a fax online.

It’s email. It was always going to be email.
