faxit is an email client. It works on top of mailboxes you already have with Google or Microsoft. Your mail lives there, under their terms, and nothing faxit does changes that. faxit is a window onto it, with a Secretary who sorts, drafts and asks, and never sends without you.
It is provided as is. It may go down, lose a snooze, or be switched off. Your mail is unaffected by any of that. We will tell members before switching anything off for good.
Invites are personal. Do not share your session. Do not use faxit to send spam, or anything your mail provider’s own terms would object to; their sending limits still apply. Large attachments you share by link are yours and your responsibility; faxit holds them for 14 days and does not look inside.
Drafts, translations, sorting and summaries are suggestions made by a model, on the text of the mail in question. They can be wrong. Read before you send. Nothing goes out, is archived, or is snoozed without your yes, and every action can be undone for a moment after.
If you turn read statuses on, the mail you send tells faxit when it is opened. Use it as a hint, not a record, and in a way your recipients would find fair. You can turn it off in Settings.
Access to your Gmail or Outlook data is governed by your consent on their permission screen and can be revoked there at any time. See the privacy page for exactly what is stored and for how long.
Either side can end this at any time. Unlink your mailboxes in Settings, or write to hello@faxit.now and your account is removed. What faxit held about you goes with it, as the privacy page describes.
When these terms change, the date at the top changes and the release letter says so. Continuing to use faxit after that means you accept the new version.
